The Challenge
What was breaking
A business was collecting funds from clients entirely through WhatsApp. Manual. Untracked. Lacking credibility. Every transaction was a WhatsApp message — no receipts, no records clients could verify, no way to reconcile payments against accounts. The founder was spending hours every week just tracking who had paid and who had not. There was no audit trail, no professional presentation, and no way to scale beyond a handful of clients.
The business had real revenue and real growth potential, but the manual processes were becoming a bottleneck. Clients were hesitant to send larger payments through an informal channel. The founder could not demonstrate financial controls to larger potential clients. Every new client onboarding required hand-holding through a payment process that looked amateurish.
This was not a technology problem in the traditional sense. The business did not need a complex platform. It needed the simplest possible intervention that would create immediate credibility and unlock growth. The mistake most technical partners make is over-engineering the first solution. We deliberately under-engineered it.
